What raising the standard actually means
It is an easy phrase to write and a hard one to hold to. At Moroccocanna it comes down to three things a buyer can verify: raw material traceable back to the plot it grew on, a laboratory analysis attached to every batch, and a legal framework respected end to end. Everything else is marketing.
The legal framework, briefly
Since 2021, Law 13-21 has authorised cannabis in Morocco for medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial purposes. It created the ANRAC, the agency that licenses every link in the chain: cultivation, processing, transport and sale.
Two practical consequences follow. First, legal cultivation is restricted to three northern provinces — Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen and Taounate. Second, a product is not legal merely because it respects the THC threshold: it must also come from a licensed chain. The threshold alone is not the test.
Recreational use remains prohibited. That is the most common misunderstanding, and it is what exposes buyers who purchase outside the licit circuit.
From the flower to the finished product
Our raw material comes from the Rif, where cannabis has been grown for generations. That agronomic knowledge — which cultivar suits which microclimate, when to harvest, how slowly to dry — cannot be improvised, and it is the reason Moroccan material has the reputation it does.
What legalisation added is the missing half: analytical testing, a documented THC level, a chain you can trace. Tradition on its own is not a quality guarantee. Tradition plus traceability is.
Our ranges
- Oils, taken sublingually, for precise and repeatable dosing.
- Flower, from cultivars selected for their cannabidiol content.
- Resin, the Rif’s historic format, now produced and tested inside the legal framework.
- Cosmetics and wellness products, formulated from extracts of known composition.
For context on why Moroccan material is drawing international interest, see why Moroccan hemp is gaining attention in the global market.
Four questions to ask before you buy
- Where is the batch analysis? Not a generic brand certificate — the report for the batch you are actually buying, with the cannabinoid profile and the THC level as a figure.
- Where did the material come from? An authorised province, through an ANRAC-licensed chain.
- What is the exact concentration? In milligrams, not just a percentage. That is what lets you work out the price per milligram and compare two offers honestly.
- What is the production date? Cannabinoids degrade. Old stock is worth less, and some sellers know it.
If a seller cannot answer one of those four questions, the missing information is rarely an oversight.
Wellness: what we will say, and what we will not
Many people turn to CBD for stress, sleep quality or physical discomfort. We make no therapeutic claims — that is neither our role nor what the legal framework permits. What we do commit to is telling you exactly what is in a product, at what level, and where it came from, so that you can decide for yourself. If you are taking any medication, that is a conversation for a doctor, not for a seller.
Getting in touch
We do not publish a fixed price list: what you pay depends on the product, the concentration, the packaging and the volume, and a public grid would mislead more than it would help.
Tell us what you are looking for — as an individual or as a professional buyer — and we will come back with current availability, the batch analysis and the corresponding terms.
